Double Cover Reveal: A Guitly Ghost Suprised & They All Fally Down

It is with great pleasure and a thrill in our hearts that Gwen Gardner and I (Angela Brown *hugs*) reveal the covers for our follow up stories to our currently available novels: Givin' Up the Ghost (Gwen) and Neverlove (Angela)

*cue drumroll*

A GUILTY GHOST SURPRISED by Gwen Gardner (Add to Goodreads)

An Angel Among Us
Paranormal happenings at the Eady household are the norm. Recently, things have become downright peculiar. Childish giggles at odd hours of the night lead Indigo Eady to her little cousin, Bryan, a guileless cherub spirit, complete with Spider Man pajamas and a set of faux angel wings. The problem is that Bryan died nearly three years ago in a hit and run that killed him and his mum. The driver was never found.  Now the gang must solve the mystery of his death in order to send him back to heaven.  But where to start when the trail is three years cold?
Indigo Eady
Indigo Eady is not clumsy. At least, that’s what she keeps telling everyone. Can she help that the overactive spirit community of Sabrina Shores causes her psychic abilities to short-circuit? It’s unfortunate that her cute friend Badger is often on the receiving end of her mishaps. At times, she is positively hazardous to his health. Even so, sparks fly in more than one direction.

THEY ALL FALL DOWN by Angela Brown (Add to Goodreads)
Abby and Basil: New love reaches new heights as they finally give in to their lust and desire for each other.

Q: Consumed by the Devourer within and his base need to claim Abby as his own.

The crave: What it all boils down to. A crave for souls. A crave to keep love intact beyond betrayals. A crave for a second chance. A crave for power and The Fall of mankind.

“Love can conquer all” is put to the test and salvation may be impossible when it’s “ashes, ashes…they all fall down.”

About Gwen
Gwen Gardner is a native Californian living in sunny San Diego, where her love of reading and writing led to a BA in English literature. Life is now complete with her husband, two dogs and a daily call from her daughter.

Since ghosts feature prominently in her young adult Indigo Eady Paranormal “Cozy” Mystery series, she has a secret desire to meet one face to face - but will run screaming for the hills if she ever does. Gwen adores travel and experiencing the cultures and foods of different countries. She is always up for an adventure and anything involving chocolate - not necessarily in that order.

Monday Muse: Air, Fire, Earth and Water Benders = Awesomeness

I am a HUGE fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender--The Nickeledeon animated series, created and produced by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko.  I was introduced to this series by my son almost two years ago. My life changed drastically after that. (At least my TV-watching life)

In this world, there are four kingdoms, each represented by elemental powers: Air Nomads, Fire Nation, Earth Kingdom and Water Tribes. Each kingdom has 'benders' who control the element. There is only one person capable of controlling all the elements.
The Avatar.

When an Avatar dies, he is reincarnated into the next Kingdom in the Avatar Cycle.  If the Avatar is killed while in the Avatar State --a state triggered as a self-defense mechanism, the cycle ceases, meaning, no Avatars.

Years ago--like way, way back -- the kingdoms lived in peace with the Avatar's guidance, until the Fire Nation Lord Sozin thought,  "Hey, why don't we  expand our territory?" One Person thwarted his plans: The Avatar. So he waited until this Avatar passed on, then decided to strike again. But then he learned that a new Avatar had been reborn in the Air Nomads.  He wiped the entire Air Nomads population  in search of this new Avatar. Luckily Aang, only twelve years old and frightenend by his responsibilities as the new Avatar had already fled with his flying Bison.

One word describes this series: Genius! If you like Fantasy or are planning to write in the Fantasy genre, or just curious, I would highly recommend this series.

This series follows the adventures of Aang, the last Airbender Tribe.

Just look at this face. Isn't he adorable?? Does he look a boy capable of  defeating the mighty Evil Firelord whose Intention is to rule the world? Probably not. Not at first though.

Aang is hilarious and playful, (he reminds me of a kitten), a typical twelve year old, trying to fit in the world both as the Avatar and a pre-adolescent boy. He is so positive about life (Maybe because his Mentor was a monk) Even when something bad  happens, he quickly bounces back to his forever joyful self. He goes through so much that everytime he appears on the screen, I just want to reach inside the Telly and hug him.

The story kicks off when two sibblings, Katara and Sokka  from the Southern Water Tribe happen to find an iceberg . They smash it open only to find it's Aang and his Bison. Apparently when Aang left his home years ago, he was trapped in a storm, fell into the sea and was frozen inside an iceberg. When he eventually learns what happened to his people, the Air Nomads, he is compeletely devastarted. From then on, they embark on a mission to save the world from the the current Fire Lord Ozai.

Sokka, the elder sibling is ridiculously funny. He has no water bending power whatsoever, and uses humour to cover for this arkwardness. Katara the younger sibling brims with power, but she needs to learn to control her Water bending.

Then there is the tortured prince, Prince Zuko.  Behold the flames, and that stance. O O.

Prince Zuko is a Firebender and also Firelord Ozai's son. Zuko relentlessly purses Aang and his friends, and thwarts any progress they make.

The character arc in this series is pure brilliance. Zuko, the son who craves acceptance to finally the exiled prince, who defects from the Fire Nation and joins the Avatar. He also plays 'Robin hood' in this series, which just shows he isn't such a bad guy beneath all that brooding and scowling.

Aang the Boy who, once upon a time fled in fear of his responsibilities, finally accepted his role in life and worked toward stopping the Firelord.

Sokka, the hilarious non-bender learns that one doesn't need to any Kind of power to be powerful. The power lies inside all of us.
I found the whole concept of four nations very unique, plus the creativity used when bending the elements. Martial Arts!! . I think I need to stop raving,,LOL. This is a wonderful storyline, filled with twists and turns and subplots you won't see them coming until they crash into you..

Happy Monday!

Swoon Thursday (3)

Wohoo! It's Thursday, which means, it's time to get our Swoon on. :D  SWOON Thursday is hosted by YA Bound.

If you would like to take part in this hot & fun meme, here are the rules:

From the book you’re currently reading, or one you just finished, tell us what made you SWOON. What got your heart pounding, your skin tingling, and your stomach fluttering.

Shout it out on Twitter with the hashtag #YABound, post it here in the comments, or grab the steamy button above and share it on your blog. We want to know!

This week, I decided to reread

just because it's one hell of a book. The swoon moments in this book are too many--All have to do with Étienne.

So here is my swoon:

"If you ask me to kiss you, I will," he says.

His fingers stroke the inside of my wrists, and I burst into flames.

"Kiss me," I say.

He does.

We are kissing like crazy. Like our lives depend on it. His tongue Slips inside my mouth, gentle but demanding, and it's nothing like I've ever experienced, and I suddenly understand why peopledescribe kissing as melting because every square Inch of my body dissolves into his. My fingers grip his hair, pulling him closer. My veins throb and my heart explodes. I have never wanted anyone like this before. Ever.

He pushes me backward and we're lying down, making out in front of the children with their balloons and the old men with their chess sets and tourists with the laminated maps and I don't care, I don't care about any of that.

All Iwant is Étienne.

The next section:

I want to breathe him, lick him, eat him, drink him. His lips taste like honey. His face has the slightest bit of stubble and it rubs my skin but I don't care, I don't care at all. He feels wonderful. His hands are everywhere, and it doesn't matter that his mouth is already on top of mine, I want him closer closer closer.

WOW! **takes a deep breath.*

So what's your SWOON? Please leave your link on the comments section and I will make sure to drop by.

Friday Fantastic: Bloggers Rockers featuring Samantha Martin

Happy Friday!! Friday Fantastic is back, and this time around I will be hosting bloggers I've met through my blogging endevours, as well as, while interacting on the blosphere as an author. I feel so lucky to have met wonderful people who I chat about books with, or sometimes just sip virtual Margaritas and/or Jägermeister, get tipsy and babble stuff that make sense to us (but probably wouldn't, if any other person was listening in.)

My first Feature is Samantha Martin. I met Samantha a while back when she offered to help me out with A Need So Insatiable cover reveal and let me tell you, this Girl is AMAZING! So before I go deeper into fan-girling mode--and I have a tendency to do that, let me introduce you to Sam. :)

Welcome, Sam. I am so excited to have you here with us.  Could you please tell us a little about yourself?

My name is Samantha Martin. I live in North Carolina in right in the middle of Hanging Rock State Park. I am a Library Assistant for Walnut Cove Public Library, which is part of the Northwestern Regional Library System. We have thirteen member libraries that span four counties. I am thirty-one, married, and have three beautiful children (five if you count the dog and the cat J).I began blogging to help promote literay in Young Adults. This is how my young adult book review blog, Teen Blurb, was born. I have an adult book review site as well,  Faerie Tale Books. Blogging has opened my eyes to a whole new literary world. I have meet so many great readers and authors during my journey. I absolutely love it! Being able to show my support to Indie authors has been awesome. There are so many great authors out there with such wonderful stories that just need a chance.

My husband Chris and me

This is essentially my backyard.

  My little wild chidren!

What a lovely family! Your kids are adorable. :)  And wild... wild is fantastic! :)

So, I like to read anything that catches my eye. Do you have any specific genres you enjoy reading more than others?
I am a romantic at heart so I love stories that have some kind of romance in it. Genrewise I read about anything. I love Young Adult, New Adult, Paranormal Romance, Urban Fantasy, and Erotica. Book Covers are what usually draw me to a book first. I also go by reviews and recommendations. My favorite authors include Jennifer L. Armentrout, Abbi Glines, Julie Kenner, Sylvia Day, Georgia Cates, and of course you CeCe!

Before I settle down to read a book, I usually make sure that the sofa – I do have a specific one in the living room. And the kids know it..LOL – I arrange the pillows in a certain way that my body just sinks in for the long ride, then grab a bottle of pepsi or my favourite, raspberry juice.

LOL.. I have a specific sofa too. So when I find the Kids sitting on it, I let out this growl that has them scampering away.. :D Do you have any rituals  you do before snuggling in with a book?
I usually prop myself up in my bed to read. I live in a rather small house (which we are hoping to expand). We only have two bedrooms and there are five of us squeezed in there. Yikes! Lol. Other than that there isn’t anything special that iIdo. I do make sure my Hello Kitty mini fridge (which is bedside my bed) is stokced full of Pepsi Ones and I have some Trix cereal nearby (I am woefully addicted to it)!

Oh gosh, thank you, Sam.I'm really humbled, and honoured, and very very glad you enjoy reading my books. :)
My book shelves look like the eighth wonder of the world – leaning to the side and sagging dangerously. How does your bookshelf look like? Would you like to share a photo?
I am right there with you CeCe. I probably have over 2000 books on my bookshelves. I love to be surrounded by books. I love their smell and how it feels to have one in my hands.

That is my youngest, Kaylee. She always wants to be in pictures. Such a Ham J The book cases are floor to ceiling, and most of the shelves arelayered with two rows of books.

Kaylee is so pretty! She reminds me of my daughter. She loves to be in pictures..like every time someone has a camera on their hand, she is there.
Although I fill my kindle with ebooks, I am a collector of paperbacks, and hard back copies. I can’t resist the smell of freshly printed paper (too yummy) Ebooks or Print?
I am the same way. I have over 3000 books on my Kindle, but I love Print books the best. I love the smell as welll! There is nothing like holding a book in my hands and getting lost in whatever world for the moment!

LOL.. yeah I remember us laughing about having so many books on Kindle, but unable to resist one-clicking. Do you have a specific genre you like to Review?
I love to review the same genres that I read, but I will give anybook a chance!

Thank you so much, Samantha! <3
If you have time, please drop by to say hi to this lovely lady. She's fantastic and so much fun to hang around with.
Have a lovely Weekend!

Swoon Thursday (2)

I'm back again this Thursday with another Swoon-steal-my-breath excerpt of the book I'm currently reading. SWOON Thursday is hosted by YA Bound.

My first swoon: BET ME by Jennifer Cruise

Her face was blissful, her mouth soft and pouted, her full lower lip glazed with icing, and as she teased the last of the chocolate from her lip, Cal heard a rushing in his ear. The rush became a whisper--THIS one--and he breathed deeper, and before she could open her eyes, he leaned in and kissed her, tasting the chocolate and the heat of her mouth, and she froze for a Moment and then kissed him back, sweet and insistent, blanking out all coherent thought. He let the taste and the scent and the warmth of her wash over him, drowning in her, and when she finally pulled back, he almost fell into her lap.

My second swoon is from my upcoming Paranormal Romance HOMECOMING.

His hands left her arms and cupped her face like she was something fragile. Something beautiful. Someone loved and wanted. His gaze dropped to her mouth, and he trailed his thumb over her lower lip, transfixed. A smile tugged the corners of his lips as his mouth came crashing down on hers, rough like his voice and impatient and desperate. His tongue swept across her lips, seeking entrance, and she opened up to him, claiming her, caressing, fighting to dominate. Showing her how much he’d missed her, telling her she was his. He deepened the kiss, sliding his hands to her hips and pulling her flush to his body, his claws digging into her skin. The kiss, the way he held her, reminded her of the last kiss he’d bestowed on her before she left him. Passionate. Reverent. Tender. Her hands slid up to circle his neck, pulling him lower, wanting more, Everything. Her fingers skated their way up to dig into his cropped hair. Gods, she was powerless to him.

What's your swoon? Be sure to leave your link and I'll hop over to check it out. Thursday is all about swooning. :D

What's Up Wednesday

Welcome to  What's Up Wednesday, a weekly meme started by Jaime Morrow and Erin Funk. If you'd like to join this fun meme, please head over to Jaime's blog to sign in the linky list. :)

What I'm reading:

The last two weeks while I was onvacation I finished reading Dare You To by Katie McGarry , Charade by Nyrae Dawn, Hopeless and Losing Hope by Colleen Hoover. Fantastic reads!! I will be reviewing these books  in the following ddays.
Currently, I'm reading:

I'm about 4% in the story. I'm liking it so far.

What I'm writing:

I'm working on edits for my paranormal romance Homecoming. (The gorgeous cover on the right with the panther-Girl. :D ) It's a mix of steam punk and fantasy, though used in very small doses because this installment revolves around the main characters, Levian and Sera.
I'm also working on my NA/Adult contemporary romance. The first draft should be ready by next week.  I rewrote the first chapter. I think ist more stronger, and displays the character's conflict quite well.

I would like to share a snippet from the story, but this time, it's from the male POV.  Rafael, 24 year old, hates

My goal for the coming week is to complete the draft. I have about 20 pages to go, so I hope -no-- I'm determined to finish this.

What else I've been up to:

My kiddies and I vacationed in Malta from the 21st July to 2nd August. and OMgosh! Gorgeous, awesome, beautiful...I am out of words to describe how über-fantastic that place is. Malta has a very rich history. I will blog about it in the coming weeks and post photos. In the meantime..this is the beauty I woke up to every morning

This is me and my daughter at Hagar Qim Temple in Malta.

How about you? What have you been upto?
