What was your Childhood Monster Blogfest?

I'm so glad to be taking part in this blogfest hosted by Christine the author of FEARLESS.
Childhood monsters. I believe each one of us had something that scared in our childhood years. Whether it is monsters under the bed, or being run down by a car, or a rabid dog chasing you...
Mine was a humongous rabid dog all fang-y with slobber trickling down from the sides of its mouth, (picture the 3 headed dog in Harry Potter) tongue lolling and crimson eyes ridden with insatiable hunger for my ten year old bony body. I'd wake up in the middle of the night certain it was peeping through the closet, or just waiting for me to slide my legs out of bed so it could snatch me and pull me under.

I still shudder at that image.

I did get over that though. My dearest house pet is our dog Mellie.

 So what was yours?

  7. Mina,
Actually when I was the same age, while going home from school, my friends were passing by a house with fence (those onces with spaces). Suddenly a dog appeared from somewhere within and started chasing us along the fence, barking and snarling. Had nightmares about that for months.

  9. I used to swear I had a monster living behind my door. I slept with it partially open and I swore I saw shadows there. Yes, I worked it into my WIP. :)

  14. I remember when I was very little (about 4 or so), I watched 'Sleeping Beauty' with my parents, and I flipped out when I saw Maleficent. She is by far the creepiest Disney villain. Oh, the nightmares. I still have a hard time watching that movie.

ugh,I tremble every time I remember that dog. It wasn't ugly. I think it's the chasing and barking that scared me most.

Maleficent is SCARY. As a four year old must have been absolutely scary. It takes a while to get rid of that image.

  21. When I was growing up, our neighbors had a great dane that was taller than me. it always broke loose, dragging a big chain. I was terrified of it and all dogs for years.
